Entrepreneurs and media stars Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian West are slated to speak Wednesday at The New York Times DealBook Conference in New York.
The two pop culture icons are expected to discuss the growing role of social media influencers in the media and fashion businesses.
Kardashian West, star of the reality TV show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and wife to famed rapper Kayne West, has long been involved in the business of beauty, media and style.
She recently launched a new apparel brand, Skims, which is billed as “new, solution focused approach to shape enhancing undergarments.” The beauty and fashion maven also recently announced that she wants to become a lawyer like her father, Robert Kardashian, in her efforts to pursue criminal justice reform.
Jenner is CEO of her own Los Angeles production company, Jenner Communications, and has long been a leader in the media business. She, too, has appeared in a number of reality television shows over the past two decades and is actively involved in the management of the careers of her children.
